SENIOR CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION OF BRITISH COLUMBIA
MISSION STATEMENT
To stimulate public interest in the welfare of Senior Citizens of
Canada. To advocate for pensions and a social security entitlement
that provide the means to ensure housing and living conditions that
meet the senior’s needs for comfort and security.
To protect the rights and interests of pensioners under the Old
Age Security and Assistance Acts.
To co-operate with pensioners’ organizations in British Columbia
and other provinces of Canada and with other individuals and groups
for the purpose of promoting the pensioner movement.
GOALS OF THE ASSOCIATION
To promote communication to the Government and to the public
regarding pensioners concerns.
To provide continuing education to its members through the A.G.M.
and Conference and to ensure there is appropriate communication
given to the members.
To embrace new technologies to maximize communication of seniors
concerns to members and all seniors of British Columbia.
